You Should Consider Moving to Huntsville. Here’s why:

Now that so many people have the option to work from home, you can live just about anywhere. We think you should consider moving to the Huntsville area. Below are our top three reasons why this charming city should be the next place you call home.

Outdoorsy Lifestyle

Like to hike, fish, or watch the leaves turn into beautiful red, yellow, and orange hues during the fall? We are excited to tell you that Huntsville has it all. Running along the beautiful Tennessee River, Wheeler State Park offers fantastic opportunities to encounter natural wonders, like the endangered Whooping Cranes living harmoniously within their natural habitat.

Across town lies beautiful Lake Guntersville, renowned as a top fishing spot in the nation and the site of multiple annual bass tournaments. And it’s not just for pros. Fishing enthusiasts of every age and skill level can take advantage of one of America’s best freshwater fishing spots too!

The William B. Bankhead National Forest is a photographer’s dream and houses over 181,200 acres of untouched woodland with waterfalls and native species habitats. Plus, you can enjoy miles of walking trails and rolling hills that feature some of the most beautiful fall landscapes you will see anywhere.

Amazing Convenient Location

One of our favorite things about Huntsville is that it’s close to larger cities and destination beaches. It’s only 1.5 hours from Nashville and Birmingham and 3 hours from Atlanta, Knoxville, and Memphis. You can easily drive down to the Gulf Shore Beaches. In as little as 5 hours, you’ll be enjoying some of the clearest blue salt water in the nation. Just hop in the car and enjoy how easy it is to have a weekend vacation nearby!

Education and Activities for Kids

Hunstville has some of the best schools in the country and, in addition to an outstanding educational environment, tons of fun activities for kids. Forbes recently rated Huntsville as one of the top 25 most educated cities in America. The Huntsville public schools are top-ranked in Alabama, and a few highly ranked universities also call Huntsville home, including the University of Alabama Huntsville, Alabama A&M University, and Oakwood University.

Thanks to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, and the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command, Huntsville has the most resident engineers in the US. Every year thousands of kids and parents come here to attend space camp. These camps expose kids to the vast world of space exploration, science, and math.
